So I haven’t posted in quite awhile and I would like to blame the fact that I am so stuck to my work over here. I love my students and I have had such a fantastic 6 months in Japan and I have just another 6 months to go until I have been here for a year.
January is pretty much over here in Japan, and I am so excited about the projects I have had the opportunity to work on while I have been been here, the people I have met- including becoming friends with a professional sumo wrestler.
I found out 2 days ago that they are building a convenience store directly opposite my house, it has been a long time coming for this cute little town. But I am also worried that I will now gain all the weight I have been losing haha. Did I also mention that I passed my JLPT N5? I think besides living abroad for the first time, taking my JLPT has been the second most nerve-wracking thing? The last time I took an exam was 5 or 6 years ago.
Moving to Japan has restored lost passions that were dwindling away back home, I am also getting better at handling my procrastination that so often consumed my ideas, and time. I have learnt how to focus my energy on one thing at a time, and better use my multi-tasking abilities. I have now made peace with what I really want to do- that is animation. But is my future back home in the UK, that is a question I have left for another time. Now, I just want to make cool stuffs.
Wow! A whole year has passed and a new one is already here!
Laying a bit of my heart out there, but 2015 was a difficult year for me. Because this isn’t the post for sob stories, I will get straight to the point and say that as much as there were a lot of things to cry about there was a lot to be thankful for in 2015.
One of my very lovely Japanese language exchange partners shared with me photos of the first sunrise of 2016 in Japan, and I would like to share them with you all.
I am super excited to be sharing more reviews, more tea and more posts with you in 2016. I am even more excited for all the original content that will be spearheaded your way.
Once more I wish you all a very Happy New Year and every success in your creative goals!!
(also thank you mail chimp for the socks, haha)
